Conflict-Free Diamonds

When choosing a diamond, its origin matters as much as its beauty. Conflict-free diamonds are sourced responsibly and help ensure your purchase does not support violence, exploitation, or unethical practices. They reflect a commitment to transparency, integrity, and peace of mind.

At Variation, every diamond we offer is conflict-free—carefully selected and sourced through ethical, verified channels.

What Does “Conflict-Free” Mean?

Conflict-free diamonds are sourced without financing armed conflict, human rights abuses, or unethical labor practices. They move through supply chains that follow internationally recognized standards designed to improve accountability and responsible sourcing.

A conflict-free diamond allows you to celebrate life’s meaningful moments with confidence and clarity.

The Kimberley Process

The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) is an international initiative created to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds. It requires participating countries to certify that rough diamond shipments are conflict-free and to maintain controls intended to reduce the risk of unethical sourcing within global trade.

While no system is perfect, the Kimberley Process has played an important role in strengthening oversight and improving transparency across the diamond industry.

Lab Diamonds and Conflict-Free Assurance

Lab grown diamonds are inherently conflict-free.

Because they are created in controlled laboratory environments, lab diamonds avoid many of the risks associated with traditional mining, including unsafe working conditions and conflict financing. Their origin is also more traceable, offering greater transparency from creation through certification.

For modern buyers, lab diamonds provide a responsible alternative—without compromising brilliance, durability, or quality.
